Best Japanese curry restaurant in japan

T	Terry on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this place. Located a short distance away from the usual touristy places, you can stop here while travelling from osaka namba station to Osaka castle. Learned about this place from the YouTube channel internationallyme and decided to pop in to see. Our first foray ended in disaster as it was not operating that day and we had to come back again so do note their operating hours (not full day) before you drop by. Seating is limited in the 2 storey premise. There was already a queue outside even before it opened for lunch. There appears to be quite a lot of locals dining here so it is probably a testament to the quality. The curry is different from the usual ones. It is extremely flavourful, aromatic and does not give you the jelak (sick of eating) feeling that you sometimes get from overly rich food. You actually get a 2 choices of curry as you can see from the photo. Pricing is a steal at around S$10 or so.

S	Santhi K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the quiet uncrowded stretch after the bustle of Namba. Cosy and rustic interior. Friendly staff who tried to explain the Japanese menu / dishes to us. Rice is served with 2 different curry choices. The mutton gravy is what I call Japanese kheema! ;D Absolutely flavourful food! So glad I made the trip down.

The curry was amazing, a unique style unlike anything I have had before in Japan. They also had Indian inspired cocktails. The restaurant is housed in a old pre Showa era house and is full of antiques- and a cute cat named Taro that visits the tables. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
