h	hinnerk A. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 区界の名の通り、盛岡と宮古の境ですね。駅を出て国道を渡ると道の駅があります。旧駅舎が解体され、新駅舎に建て変わりました。旧駅舎のほうが風情がありましたが、需要と時代を考えると新駅舎もいい感じです。これからも盛岡と宮古を結ぶ路線として維持してもらいたいです。バスには変え難い快適感があります。 As the name of the ward, it's the border between Morioka and Miyako. 魔	魔法少女さくら on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR山田線の途中駅です。秘境駅として有名だった大志田駅・浅岸駅が廃止されて以降は、隣駅が盛岡近郊の上米内駅となり、駅間距離が一気に長くなりました。山間地域にありもともと利用者の少ない駅ではありましたが、以前は交換可能で有人駅、さらに快速リアスも停車していました。それが2021年に再訪した際は、交換設備が撤去され棒線化、駅舎も簡易なものに建て替えられ無人化、快速リアスも全便通過で下りの始発列車が18時台になる有様。さらにさらに、並行する国道106号に延長4,997ｍの新区界トンネルがブチ抜かれ、メイン道路沿いですらなくなってしまいました。もともと賑わっていたとは言えませんが、これじゃ106バスとどう戦うんだよ・・・。鉄道ファンとしては悲しい限りです・・・ It is an intermediate station on the JR Yamada Line.
