The origin of Kurobane Castle began in 1576 (Tensho 4) when Takamasu Ozeki relocated from Shirohata Castle. During the conquest of Odawara in 1590 (Tensho 18), Mr. Nasu Sukeharu, the owner of the house, was reformed because he did not participate in Odawara, but Mr. Ozeki's owner, Takamasu, is his younger brother. He was the first to join the team with Harukiyo Otawara, the son of Tsunekiyo Otawara, the owner of Mr. Otawara, and was relieved (13,000 stones). In the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 (Keicho 5th year), Mr. Ozeki gave to the East Army, so he was added by Ieyasu Tokugawa after the war and became a daimyo of 19,200 stones. Also, during the Battle of Sekigahara, Ieyasu Tokugawa undertook a large-scale renovation in preparation for Uesugi Kagekatsu in Aizu. In 1664 (Kanbun 4th year), Mr. Ozeki's stone height was confirmed to be 18,000 stones by the Tokugawa Ietsuna, the 4th shogun of the Edo Shogunate, and there was no change until the end of the Tokugawa shogunate. In 1689 (Genroku 2), Basho Matsuo stayed in the castle for a maximum of 14 days from April 3 to April 16 during a trip to the back alley. Throughout the Edo period, the rule of Mr. Ozeki, a lord of the outside world, continued, which is rare in the Kanto region. In 1871 (Meiji 4), the castle was abandoned due to the abolition of the feudal clan. It faces the Naka River and the cliffs along it in the west, and was built on a hill where the Matsuba River flows in the east. The site of Kurobane Castle is now Kurobane Castle Ruins Park, and the empty moat and earthworks are preserved in good condition. There is a Kuroba Basho no Yakata in Sannomaru.
