★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 古墳の原形は大規模なものと推測される。石室の骨組みがわかる。古墳の天井石となっている大石の窪みを小石で叩くと「かんかん」と音が出ることから「かんかん石塚」と呼ばれるようになった。
 The original form of the tumulus is presumed to be large. You can see the skeleton of the stone chamber. When you hit the hollow of a large stone, which is the ceiling stone of an old burial mound, with a pebble, it makes a "kankan" sound, so it has come to be called "kankan stone mound".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 長野県考古学遺跡番号9710です。水田地帯の単独古墳です。横穴式石室の石が露出しています。墳丘封土は失われていますが、消滅されずに残して頂きました。ちなみに看板は、カンカン塚と書いてありました。
It is archeological site number 9710 in Nagano prefecture. It is a single tumulus in the paddy field. The stone in the side hole type stone room is exposed. The mound fence has been lost, but was left undestructed. By the way, the signboard was written as Kankanzuka.
