★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 頂上まで行くのに険しい道しかなくて諦めました。中腹でも風が気持ち良かったです。
 I gave up because there was only a steep road to reach the top. The wind was nice even on the hillside.

There was a kunugi tree and it was a habitat for Kanabun. The surroundings were rice fields and the atmosphere was quiet.

Walk slowly, and the surrounding area is less than 10 minutes. It's quite big.

浅間山古墳は、群馬県内で太田市の天神山古墳（5世紀前半）に次いで第2位の規模を誇り、築造された当時では、東日本最大の古墳であったと考えられているそうです。
周りは細い道がありますが、民有地で畑になっていて、アクセスの道も整備されていませんので、当時はあったであろう、お堀の外から眺めて見るだけになります。
It is believed that it was built in the latter half of the 4th century.
The Asamayama tumulus is the second largest tumulus in Gunma prefecture after the Tenjinyama tumulus in Ota City (the first half of the 5th century), and is believed to have been the largest tumulus in eastern Japan when it was built.
There are narrow roads around, but since it is a private land and the access road is not maintained, you can only see it from the outside of the moat, which was probably there at that time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 群馬県では二番目に大きな「浅間山古墳」です。立派な前方後円墳ですが残念な事に整備は行き届いてないようです。
どうやら周辺は個人所有の田畑みたいで、そもそも古墳に辿り着く事すら出来ない状況です。国の指定史跡の為に本当はもう少しきちんと製品して見学出来るようにして欲しいのですが……?
ちなみに駐車場はもちろんですが、アクセス道路も狭くなっています。
It is the second largest "Asamayama Kofun" in Gunma prefecture. It is a fine front and rear burial mound, but unfortunately it does not seem to be well maintained.
Apparently, the surrounding area looks like a privately owned field, and it is not possible to even reach the tumulus in the first place. I really want you to be able to see the product a little more properly because it is a designated historic site of the country ... ?
By the way, not only the parking lot but also the access road is narrow.

国指定史跡であり、中山道から一本裏に入ったところにズドーンとそびえています。
墳丘の長さは171mと大きく、群馬県では太田の天神山古墳に次ぐ第二位、関東では天神山古墳と茨城の舟塚山古墳に続く第三位の大きさです。
築造時期は割りと早めの4世紀後半と推定されています。
地割りは現在も古墳の形そのままであり、周囲より一段低い周濠部は、そのまま水田として利用されています。
尚、墳丘全体が私有地であり、無断立ち入りはNGです。
所有者の方は、自分ちの裏山に超偉いひとのお墓がある、という事実についてどうお考えなのか、興味があります。

It is a nationally designated historic site, and it rises above Zudorn just behind the Nakasendo road.
The length of the burial mound is as large as 171m, which is the second largest in Gunma prefecture after the Tenjinyama burial mound in Ota, and the third largest in the Kanto region after the Tenjinyama burial mound and the Funatsukayama burial mound in Ibaraki.
It is estimated that it was built in the latter half of the 4th century, which is relatively early.
The land allocation is still the same as the shape of the tumulus, and the moat, which is one step lower than the surrounding area, is used as a paddy field.
The entire mound is privately owned and no entry is allowed without permission.
Owners are curious about what they think of the fact that there is a tomb of a super-great man in the mountains behind them.

民有地で畑になっています。国指定史跡です。堀跡は全周には畑や田んぼで残っています。
古い時代の古墳で方墳丘部が低くくなっています。４世紀後半の築造と云われています。周りは細い道がありますが、見学はあまり手軽にできないし、アクセスの道も整備されていません。いろいろ事情があるかも知れないですが、古墳好きからすると残念です。また案内板が読み難いです。
