この場所にあるのは、マイカーの無かった時代、袋田駅が袋田の滝への玄関口となっていたからである。
It is a monument erected to commemorate the selection of Fukuroda Falls as Japan's 25th win.
This place is because Fukuroda Station was the gateway to Fukuroda Falls when there were no cars.

Bridge construction on the Suigun Line is underway at the end of this monument. Fukuroda Station and Hitachi-Daigo Station are scheduled to open in late March 2021.
