歴史の古さを感じられる神社でした。
ウィキペディアによると、
同社が勧請された時期は不明だが、社殿は元来現在地より東方に鎮座していたのが、1618年（元和4年）に伊達政宗の命により内ヶ崎織部が富谷宿を開設した際、宿場の入り口に近い現在地に移築されたといわれている。
1908年（明治41年）11月に日吉神社と雷光神社とを合祀した。

当神社の勧請年月は不詳ですが、伝承によると古くは現社地の東方に鎮座していたといわれてますが、元和4年(1618年)伊達政宗公が当地へ宿場を開設した時に、現在地へ遷座されたものといわれています。
また明治41年(1908年)11月には日吉神社、雷光神社を合祀されています。
当神社には色々な絵馬が奉納されていますが、句会の絵馬二面があって、天保から明治にかけて富谷の句会が盛んであったことが伺えます。

相談してもいかにも面倒そうな対応ですし。
神棚の交換もいらするも断られて、別な神社に行ってくれと言われて今まで何も対応して貰っていません。本来、家から一番近い神社を一番頼りたいけど無理。神様は良いけど、神主さんがね・・・。

神主さんが耳が遠く、昔からいろんな相談をしても高圧的で嫌でした。毎日の参拝を日課にしている息子が『賽銭泥棒するなよ』と一方的に怒られ、言い返そうと話をした途中で窓をピシャリと閉められたそうです。
毎日通って顔見知りなのに、そんな目で見ていたのかと驚きと
泣きながら帰って来た息子を見て怒りを感じ、電話しましたが『ちょっと注意しただけです。気を悪くしたらすみません』と濁されました。
神主が嫌で神事をお願いする際は、隣の市の神社にわざわざ相談しに行っています。
かなり高齢で対応できない事も多く、そろそろ後任を考えて欲しいです。本当なら★を付けたくないです。
