★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 中央線、快速の止まる駅。秘境駅である定光寺駅まで一駅のところ。
名古屋から28分、千種から19分。
ここまで来るとだいぶ山に近く、駅ホームからすぐ目の前に山があって見渡せる。
大きな山が近いためか名古屋市内から来ると空気がきれいに感じます。
愛知環状鉄道線が乗り入れており、ホームもその分広い。この列車は車両の色が違うみたい。ここから瀬戸豊田岡崎方面へ行くことができる。
全体的にロケーションとしては悪くないかも。
駅構内は地下なので少し面倒。

28 minutes from Nagoya and 19 minutes from Chikusa.
When you come here, it's quite close to the mountain, and you can see the mountain right in front of you from the station platform.
The air feels clean when coming from Nagoya city, probably because a big mountain is near.
The Aichi Loop Railway line is on board, and the platform is also large. This train seems to have a different color. From here you can go to Seto Toyota Okazaki.
It may not be bad as a location as a whole.
The station yard is underground, so it's a little troublesome.

愛知環状線から名古屋方面への乗り換えで
時間によっては階段乗り降りが必要なので
注意が必要。トイレはありますが、清潔とは言えないレベルです。
改札内にキオスクがありますが、品数は少な目です。
また、改札を出たところに店舗が少しだけあります。本屋、薬局、パン屋、青果店、カフェバー、ミスド、コンビニなどがあります。
その他、すこしだけコインロッカーがありますが、大きいサイズのところはなかったと思います。

There is a kiosk inside the ticket gate, but the number of items is small.
Also, there are a few stores just outside the ticket gate. There are bookstores, pharmacies, bakeries, fruit and vegetable stores, cafe bars, Mister Donuts, convenience stores, etc.
In addition, there are a few coin lockers, but I don't think there was a large one.

愛岐トンネル群、春の公開の見学の為こちらから電車に乗り定光寺駅に行く為に立ち寄りました。驚いたのがこの時間定光寺駅に停車するのは13:39発しかないのにびっくりしましたね!中央本線なのにローカル線の駅に来てしまったのかと錯覚してしまいそうです。
発車時刻を調べようにもホームには愛環線の時刻しか表示されてないのは不便ですね。

I was surprised that the train stopped at Jokoji Station at 13:39 at this time, so I was surprised! It is inconvenient that only the time of the Aichi Loop Railway is displayed on the platform even if you check the departure time.

A shared station on the JR Central Line and Aichi Loop Railway Line. The renewal work will be in service in some commercial areas during the pre-opening period. The south exit rotary is under construction, and the north exit Meitetsu bus terminal is very old and has not been renewed yet.
