I received a red stamp from the priest. A nice word is attached to the red stamp. It is a historical temple with a relationship with the Chiba family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 室町時代に建立された寺院（曹洞宗）といいます。本尊は延命地蔵菩薩で、境内には閻魔堂があり、千葉市で最大といわれる閻魔大王像があります。本堂はかなり新しかったです。
It is called a temple (Soto sect) built in the Muromachi period. The principal image is the Enmei Jizo Bodhisattva, and there is the Enma-do in the precincts, and the statue of Enma the Great, which is said to be the largest in Chiba City. The main hall was quite new.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 亥鼻城址から千葉寺へ向かって街道を歩いていると、左手に一直線に延びた通りのどん突きに大きな御堂を発見した。ぶらり旅なので参拝することにした。境内は改修中で、本堂以外は完成に時間を要するに風であった。
As I was walking along the road from Inohana Castle Ruins to Chiba Temple, I found a large temple at the end of a straight street on my left. I decided to worship because it was a leisurely trip. The precincts were under renovation, and it took time to complete except for the main hall.
