大物主（ニギハヤヒ）・崇徳天皇
元々、インドの守護神ガンジス川のワニを
神格化したクンビーラ（宮比羅・ヒンドゥー教）（マカラ）を金毘羅権現と称し、ガンジス川を司る女神ガンガーのヴァーハナ（乗り物）でもあることから海上交通の守り神として祀られたわけであるが、明治政府からの神仏判然令（分離令）によって主祭神を余儀なく変更させられたという経緯。
頼朝の出生地、誓願寺北側に鎮座する。

車道の喧騒があるにも関わらず、こちらの境内はとても居心地のよい場所に感じました。
