★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 仁王門は平成三年十二月に改修が終了し、平成四年四月には仁王像の修復と塗り替えも終了しました。築造から３００年ほど経つとのことですが、とても立派な文化財と言えます。
The renovation of Niomon was completed in December 1991, and the restoration and repainting of the statue was completed in April 1992. It has been around 300 years since its construction, but it is a very fine cultural property.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 40年降り位で参拝を致しました。仁王門は壮大で見応えが有ります。現在、本堂の修繕工事が行われているため、残念ながら本堂の外観は観ることができませんでした。とは言え、仁王門を観ることができたので満足です。工事が終わったら改めて、参拝に伺いたいと思います。
I worshiped after 40 years. Niomon is magnificent and spectacular. Unfortunately, the exterior of the main hall could not be seen because the main hall is currently undergoing repair work. However, I was satisfied because I was able to see Niomon. After the construction is over, I would like to visit again to visit.

I am grateful to be able to visit the 800th anniversary of the birth of the ancestor, which is healthy for me, who studied at a university that has a close relationship with the ancestor more than half a century ago.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 仁王門は宝永3年1706年の建立、平成3年に大改修を終えたそうです。宝暦8年1758年の大火の際、焼失を免れたそうで、千葉県の指定有形文化財です。
見上げる程、大きく立派でこれだけでもお参りに来た甲斐があります。
The Niomon was built in 1706 in Hoei 3 and completed a major renovation in 1991. It is said to have survived the great fire of 1758 in the 8th year of the Horeki calendar, and is a designated tangible cultural property of Chiba Prefecture.
The more you look up, the bigger and more impressive it is, and it is worth visiting.

日蓮正人の出生の地という由緒ある寺院。その門は荘厳かつ芸術的。仏教建築の醍醐味を味わえます。
千葉県小湊の地は、比較的温暖なのでしょう、熱帯性の植物があったりします。なので、日本の仏教寺院のイメージから逸脱したような印象を受けます。しかし、そこがまた寺院を引き立たせてもいます。違和感なく受け入れられてしまう凄さです。
二層二階瓦葺きの重厚感は、日蓮正人誕生の地にこれぞという趣とこれがという驚きを目に焼き付けることでしょう。
The gate of Tanjoji Temple of the Nichiren sect. This is the gate where two statues of Nio are placed.
A venerable temple called the birthplace of Nichiren Masato. The gate is majestic and artistic. You can enjoy the real thrill of Buddhist architecture.
The land of Kominato, Chiba Prefecture, is probably relatively warm, and there are some tropical plants. Therefore, I get the impression that it deviates from the image of a Japanese Buddhist temple. However, it also complements the temple. It is amazing that it will be accepted without any discomfort.
The profound feeling of the two-story and second-floor tiled roofs will impress you with the taste and surprise of the birthplace of Nichiren Masato.

立派な門の両側に、日蓮聖人の聖域を守護するかの如く睨みを効かせています。
厳めしい身体と鋭い眼光は、不浄なる者の侵入を一切許さぬと申している様でした。
仁王像は好きなので、良い物が見れたと思いました。眼福ものです。
