★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日蓮上人生誕の地だそうだが、私の実家近くに日蓮上人様が修行した、座禅の石等のゆかりのあるお寺が有ります。たまたま此処を訪れた事は何かの縁を感じます。
It is said that it is the birthplace of Nichiren's life, but there is a temple near my parents' house that is related to zazen stones, etc. I feel something about visiting here by chance.

It is the main gate of Tanjoji Temple. Immediately lined with magnificent stone lanterns, it is wonderful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 夕方、ホテルから歩いてすぐだったのでお参りしました。門を入り、石灯籠がすらりと並び前回訪問した時よりも綺麗になっていました。
In the evening, I visited because it was a short walk from the hotel. After entering the gate, the stone lanterns were lined up and it was cleaner than when I visited last time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日蓮宗本山誕生寺の総門。寺院の入り口となる部分である。
総門としては、比較的控えめな門構えである。駐車場に土地を使っている分、小さく作ったのか、あるいは創建当時の参道に合わせたのか、詳しく調べねばわからない。
寺領の中に、寺町があったりすると総門は大きくなりますが、そこまでの領地はなかったのかも知れません。
総門には特筆すべき特徴はないように思います。良くある門構えと言ったところでしょう。この先に待ち構える仁王門が圧倒されるような立派な門になります。

As a general gate, it is a relatively modest gate. I have to investigate in detail whether it was made smaller because the land is used for the parking lot, or whether it was adapted to the approach at the time of construction.
If there is a temple town in the temple territory, the main gate will be large, but it may be that there was no territory up to that point.
I don't think there are any notable features in the main gate. It's a common gate. It will be a magnificent gate that will overwhelm the Nio Gate that is waiting for you.
