あいにくの雨降りの金曜日でしたが、その時間は１人で貸し切りの館内でとても堪能できました。
再度訪れたいと思います。

クリスタルのドアノブは、住人用と来客用で色を変えているらしい。

(1880～1964)です。
施主は「日本のダーウィン」と
呼ばれる京都大学名誉教授の
駒井卓博士てす。
昭和２年(1927年)建築の
京都市指定有形文化財です。
異国情緒漂う本格的な洋館です。
当初はスパニッシュ瓦で
設計されていましたが、
周囲の景観に配慮して
「桟瓦」に変更されたようです。
しかし、玄関ポーチという
意外な場所でスパニッシュ瓦が
使われています。
日本の伝統文様「青海波」に
見えます。
なかでも目を引くのは、
スパニッシュ風の鋳鉄飾りが
施された大きな窓です。
黄色味がかった色が用いられ、
建物の雰囲気に品良く溶け込んで
います。
門から延びる小径をまっすぐ
行くと、玄関側とは違った
表情が現れました。
開口部が大きくとられた
南側のデザイン。
とりわけ印象的なのは、
１階のサンルームです。
３連アーチの窓とレンガの
アプローチが愉しげな
空間へと誘います。
また、クリスタルのドアノブが
プライベート(紫)とパブリック
(白)に色分けられており、
動線が考慮されています。
