It is right behind the Koryo Shrine, so you should visit after visiting. Although it has been restored, it is a valuable building. It is also a place where the Emperor and Empress at that time were visited in 2017. I feel like I'm always surrounded by warm air. Today was the Kikuhana exhibition.

An old folk house where the Koma family, the priest of the shrine in the precincts of Koma Shrine in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture, lived for generations. It seems that a house with a thatched roof that looks like an old folk house was built during the Keicho era. Keicho is the time when the Edo Shogunate was established, so it has remained for 400 years. It is quite valuable and rare that an old folk house has remained so long, and it is designated as an important cultural property of the country. The weeping cherry blossoms in front of the house are also splendid, and you can see beautiful cherry blossoms in spring.

It was used as the residence of the Koma family, who had been working as a priest at Koma Shrine. The architecture is estimated to be in the latter half of the 17th century (early Edo period), and is extremely old among private houses in eastern Japan. It is a gabled building with a thatched roof, and measures seven and a half girders (14.3 meters) and five girders (9.5 meters). The floor plan is in the form of an old four-room floor plan, and consists of "Okuzashiki", 21 tatami mat "Okuzashiki", "Self-made" and "Haya", and Doma. It is a nationally designated important cultural property

After the cherry blossom festival held at Koma Shrine, the phantom teahouse "Okinoya" opens here, and on the day of "Yozakurakai" where you can appreciate the weeping cherry blossoms lit up while receiving a set of Sayama tea and Japanese sweets for 300 yen. I asked. The giant weeping cherry tree is a masterpiece. Immediately after the festival (around 16:30 in 2022), the sale of tea confectionery was announced at Koma Shrine, so people were flowing all at once and it was quite crowded. It seems good to go when the sun goes down. I couldn't take a seat in the house before the night cherry blossom party (around 14:00), but I could rest freely on the outdoor chaise lounge. There was enough space in the parking lot. According to the historical site exploration book of Hidaka City, this house was designated as an important cultural property in 1971 as an important private house in the early Edo period. The Koma family is an old family that has served as a priest at Koma Shrine for generations. The construction of the house is said to be during the Keicho era (1596-1615).
