★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 登り口がやや荒れているが、軽装でも登れる。最後の急登はサンダルなどでは厳しいかも。厳島合戦で囮役を務めた毛利傘下の武将のお城らしい。歴史が感じられる、良い城跡。
The climbing entrance is a little rough, but you can climb even with light clothing. The last steep climb may be tough with sandals. It seems to be the castle of a military commander under the Mori clan who acted as a decoy in the Battle of Miyajima. A good castle ruin where you can feel the history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 己斐東小学校の裏山（小茶臼山）にある城跡。築城主は己斐氏。築城は鎌倉時代中期頃までさかのぼるそうな。
団地のてっぺん付近にある己斐東小学校の横の長い階段をひいこらてくてく上り、山道をしばらく行くととご到着。結構いい運動になるね。
The ruins of a castle on the back mountain (Satoyama) of Kikai Higashi Elementary School. The owner of the castle is Mr. Kai. The construction of the castle seems to date back to the middle of the Kamakura period.
After climbing the long stairs next to Kihito Elementary School near the top of the housing complex and going up the mountain road for a while, we arrived. It's a pretty good exercise.

己斐東小学校西側の階段が入口だが、己斐城の道案内が無いのが残念。
1000歩で本丸へ着く、弁当をいただき、少し本を読みのんびり、周りの二の丸・空堀・北搦・南搦・西搦手を散策して降りるまで会う人はいなかった。

The entrance is the stairs on the west side of Koi Higashi Elementary School, but it is a pity that there is no directions for Koi Castle.
