寺は江戸末期の火災で焼失したが、本尊は持ち出されて難を逃れたのだとか 内陣の両脇には本尊を見守るように十六羅漢が安置される
本堂内の極彩色の地蔵像は、この地の仏師によるものとのこと
 Hoshuyama Light Source Temple is a temple of the Soto sect, and it is said that it was opened during the Warring States period and was opened by a military commander who worshiped this area from Kenshin Uesugi.
The temple was destroyed by a fire in the late Edo period, but the principal idol was taken out and escaped the difficulties.
The colorful Jizo statue in the main hall is said to have been created by a Buddhist priest in this area.
