★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 倭建命の御妃様の弟橘媛様の古墳で、弟橘媛様の亡骸ではなく浦賀水道で入水した時の遺品が、当時は神社の丘の眼前に広がる平野部まで海が迫ってたので髪飾りが流れ着いたのを埋葬した子母口富士見台古墳頭頂部から200mの山裾の遥拜所に位置する神社。
川崎市役所が宅地開発許可してしまい
古墳は頭頂部を残すのみ。
しかし橘樹神社辺りまで埴輪が出土しているので、周辺住宅巻き込む範囲で半径200m級の自然の山を裾切りし空堀で掘り出した巨大円墳だった状況証拠が有るが、文化財を近年まで蔑ろにしてきた川崎市教育委員会は頭頂部のみ富士見台古墳の様な説明看板で責任逃れの粉飾をしている。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 引越してきたので地元の神社にお参り。なかなかの坂を登って行くと可愛い狛犬が目に入りました。尻尾がクリンとして表情が何とも良い。思わず撫でました。また龍の彫り物が迫力があり格好良かった。
I moved to visit a local shrine. When I climbed a pretty slope, a cute Shiba Inu caught eyes. The look is good as the tail is clean. I was really jealous. In addition, the sculpture of a dragon was powerful and cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 橘樹郡橘樹郷の地と比定される地にある歴史ある神社。それにちなんで、明治の村の合「橘村」名付けられたらしい。現在は、行政にの都合で橘村の名前はなくなったけど、今も「たちばな」の名前が付いたものが多々あります。多分、そんな感じ。
神社は余り大きくはないかな。社殿は、しっかりとした細工が施されてあります。バク、狛犬、亀など色々。自分は、バクの彫り物を真下から見るのが好きです。
石の狛犬は犬です。先代の物を模して作られてます。先代のもあります。
銀杏の木が御神木候補という感じです。伸びやかな感じかいいかな。百年後に期待です。
場所は、武蔵新城、武蔵中原駅から歩いて25分位。古墳とかも、周辺に有るみたいです。
自分は、コインパーキングに車を停めて散策しました。

I parked my car in the coin parking lot and took a walk.

ここ、橘樹神社も大昔は海が眺められたなんて。

彫刻はなかなか。狛犬はミミがたれていて、新旧2対ずつあった。浄めの水はカラッボだった。
