It was a rainy day due to the typhoon, but for a child who was looking forward to riding, I stopped by at least to see Kiso horse. When I went to the reception desk, I was told that on a rainy day, I could get on a tow rope at the indoor riding ground for 600 yen, so I wanted to do my best! I'm relieved to the horse with gentle eyes. The horses on the ranch on the parking lot side were very friendly, and when I approached the fence and took pictures, they came to the side one after another and stroked my head, so it was very cute. is!

After eating delicious soba noodles on the Kaida Kogen, if you casually stop by according to the signpost ... You can see Kiso horses in the stables so close! .. You will be healed by touching the horse, which feels very calm and charming. If the timing is right, the horse riding experience is absolutely good. The view of Mt. Ontake is also wonderful.

You can see and ride the traditional Japanese horse, Kiso horse. If it is a pulling horse, you can put it on with sneakers. Was it 700 yen for the long course ...? (I'm sorry if I made a mistake He walks slowly and slowly, so I'm not too scared. Looking at YouTube, it seems that it is quite fast if you run seriously! I wonder if my legs are so short ... It's amazing to be able to run at speeds of 45km / h or more, Kiso horse. There is a large site divided into stallion and mare in the back, and you can see the Kiso horses living freely. Among the mares is the oldest Kotobuki-chan, who will be 39 years old (2021)! !! Kotobuki-chan, who was exposed to the sunlight through the trees, seemed to emit an aura more like a hermit than a horse. This is the place I want to go again.

Cute horses that you could feed. The horse rides we're not as expensive as I've seen.

This is a magic place for horselovers and riders. These are a special breed , the Kiso or Kisoji horses which for centuries carried heavy loads over the Nakasendo trail passes. Nearly went extinct, only 30 were left in all Japan in 1960s. This stable belonging to a conservation foundation has 36 at the moment . You can ride, within the limits of your skill. Worth seeing these little nuggets.. tough , self kissed, long lived.. I made a special detour off the Nakasendo to see them . Many thanks to Takeru-san stable manager for such a good look . O-taskute doumo arigatou .. ja mata. . Cob

Kiso horses are known to be short and stout. It's free to come and take a look at the horses on the farm. Not sure how much it is to ride, though, and that may be limited to certain days (I didn't see anyone riding when I went on a Sunday). Seems like blueberry picking is also an option, but again, didn't look into pricing.

A farm land of Japanese native pony. You can feed them, tame them or ride. Over 40 ponies there including stallions. In summer time you can see foals, too. They have rules for riding and it can change from time to time. I could ride on my own, followed the guide, and canter around the ranch. They usually offer rope walking for beginners and trekking on your own. Covid19 prevent restrictions may change their rules. Better ask in advance for the current one.
