★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet, comfortable place. I recommend coming by car. I didn't eat the hotel dinner, but opted for one of the many local eateries nearby. I recommend you do the same.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great stay. Got a Japanese style room facing the river. Hotel is clean and tidy. Some free amenities available to guests, including drinks (water, juice, pop, tea and coffee), massage chair, public bath ? (hot spring style). Well located. Approximately 15 minutes walk from JR station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel in a cute mountain town. When we arrived we were the only ones there. We did not realize our room was a smoking room and the front desk informed us that all rooms were booked for the night. After a walk around the area we returned and found the hotel full of life. Luckily a non-smoking room had cancelled and we were able to change rooms. Many thanks to the man at the desk for this. A smoking room in Kyoto gave me a nasty sinus infection so it was great that we could switch.
The included dinner and breakfast were delicious. We did not try the public baths here, but the bathroom in our room was ok. The view to the river outside was very nice and relaxing.
