S	Suke Maru on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新潟方面からは事実上秋田県の玄関口となる駅で、特急いなほも停車する。みどりの窓口があった名残で指定席券売機が設置されている。コンビニは１kmほど離れた道の駅近くにあり、駅前は静か。ちょうど秋田支社管内で駅カードを配布しているらしく、乗車しようと改札印を入れてもらうときに、「よかったらどうぞ」と駅員さんが当駅のカードをプレゼントしてくれた。 From the direction of Niigata, the limited express Inaho also stops at the station, which is effectively the gateway to Akita Prefecture. シ	シャムネコ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ のんびりした田舎の駅ですね！駐車場も無料近くにくにまつという喫茶店あり土産あり！ホット出来る駅です！松尾芭蕉のおくのほそ道の最北の地ですね！左側にちょっとだけ散歩出来る公園かな！芭蕉の記念碑が二つあります！待ち時間にちょっとだけ散歩してみてください！ It's a laid-back country station! 佐	佐藤ねりまる on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 羽越本線の駅で、駅前には駐車場が広がります。 SUICA等は使用できず、2023年春の拡大予定にも現在のところ対象となっていませんね。売店等はなくドリンクの自販機のみ設置。トイレは改札内外どちらからも利用できますね。バリアフリー設備は2021年8月現在はなく、エスカレーター、エレベーターともにありません。周辺にコンビニはなく、飲食店が点在してました。 At the station on the Uetsu Main Line, there is a parking lot in front of the station.
