★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This area is nothing compared to the other yokocho on the South Gate. The choices of restaurants are not good and very gimmicky where as the other side is nothing but a good representation of the best of Nagoya meishi places. Can’t wait for them to boot out these places and put in more Japanese style izakaya style places.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are a number of quaint shops that serve some interesting food (like a soft shell crab hamburger, which was an entire deep fried crab on a bun. would have gotten it but the shops done open until 10. We saw many sumo on their way to their matches. They smelled amazing!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful park. It even had an early-blooming sakura. We thought that we weren't going to get to see sakura as most hadn't bloomed yet. But Nagoya came through in this amazing way. Nagoya Castle and the surrounding grounds were beautiful, as well.
