★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東海道脇街道の本坂越えの途中にあった関所。新居の関所の詮議が厳しく迂回したと言われるが、この気賀関所も詮議自体は厳しかったよう。ただ、抜け道があっただのなんだのと言われる場所です。まあ新居は今切の渡しもあったし、抜け道無さそうだものね。
館内の展示物にお姫様や僧侶、御殿医が乗る籠がありました。お姫様はさすが煌びやかだったけど、僧侶や御殿医は粗末なものに見えます。でも庶民からすれば、そもそも専用の籠があるというだけで身分が高かったのでしょう。今で言うと自家用ジェット機みたいなものです。
A sekisho on the way over the main slope of the Tokaido side highway. It is said that the Arai-sekisho sekisho was severely detoured, but it seems that the Kiga sekisho was also strict. However, it is a place where it is said that there was a loophole. Well, the new house was handed over now, so there seems to be no loophole.
There was a basket for princesses, monks, and palace doctors on the exhibits in the museum. The princess was really gorgeous, but the monks and palace doctors look poor. However, from the point of view of the common people, the status was probably high just because there was a special basket in the first place. It's like a private jet now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 浜松に住みだして30年近くですが、気賀関所に入ったのは初めてでした。今までに何度も関所の前を通っていましたが、遠見櫓があるのは知らなかった。今、遠見櫓から見える景色は細江警察署ですが、昔は目の前が浜名湖だったから景色は良かったのかな…。入場料大人150円は満足出来る丁度いい料金だと思います。
It's been almost 30 years since I lived in Hamamatsu, but it was my first time to enter Kiga Checkpoint. I've passed in front of the Sekisho many times, but I didn't know there was a distant view turret. The view from the Tomi turret is the Hosoe Police Station, but I wonder if the view was good because it used to be Lake Hamana. I think that the admission fee of 150 yen for adults is just the right price to be satisfied.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 復元された関所ですが雰囲気は良いです。門前の松並木が美しい。大河ドラマ放送時はかなり賑わっていましたが現在では訪れる人はまばらな様です。入場料は門の横にあるお店で通行手形１５０円を購入します。今は気軽に通り抜けできますが、当時は大変な緊張感がありここを抜けるの結構なプレッシャーだったでしょうね(＠_＠;)隣には産直とお土産を扱う施設がありこちらはそこそこお客さんがいました。直虎グッズもまだ少し売っています。天竜浜名湖鉄道気賀駅から徒歩５分

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's all "Taigah Drama" crazy around here and the locals are quick to take advantage of all the hype and rightfully so. Kiga and Hosoe-cho in general, are beautiful places to visit and explore. The people are all incredibly friendly. If you're looking for a small town Japan experience, this would be it. The displays at the checkpoint are accurate for the period and accurately reflect the days of when the old highway would run through this area and travellers would be inspected and also have a place to stop and rest. The Imperial family used to come down this way for summer fishing trips many years ago and has special memories for them.
