★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 舞鶴としては大きなお寺です。毎年は節分には甘酒が振る舞われて、ちょっとした人手も有ります。仁王門とかもあるので、チロッと寄ってみましたが、誰もいなくて、住職さんが気を使って本堂の灯つけてくださいました。
It is a big temple for Maizuru. Amazake is served at Setsubun every year, and there is a little manpower. There is also the Niomon gate, so I stopped by, but there was no one, and the chief priest carefully turned on the lights of the main hall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 応永八年(1401年)の開創。江戸時代に三十四ヶ寺を末寺に持つ曹洞宗中本山の刹那で、鎌倉時代後期の八角型の石灯篭(府指定重要美術品)を所蔵する。田辺籠城の際、当山六世の大渓和尚は弟子らと共に馳せ参じ、大活躍。その功績に対し、幽斎の子、忠興は絹本著色仏涅槃図を寄進した。(府指定文化財)
Founded in the 8th year of Oei (1401). It is a moment of the Soto sect Nakamotoyama, which had 34 temples in the Edo period, and holds an octagonal stone lantern (important art object designated by the prefecture) in the latter half of the Kamakura period. At the time of Tanabe Siege, Kazuhisa Okei of Toyama VI participated with his disciples and made an outstanding performance. In response to his achievements, Tadaoki, a child of Fujitaka, donated a reclining Buddha by Kinumoto. (Prefectural designated cultural property)
