寺田支所の運転士さんたちは、結構いい人がいっぱいです。僕の知り合いが運転士やってますが、素晴らしい運転をしてくれてますので、とても安心です!全線1日乗車券使って旅する価値はかなりあるといえます!

寺田支所は南大沢営業所でかつて班のリーダー・サブリーダー(他社で言う班長・副班長乗務員)経験者が多く、京王バス南の三事業所の中では最もベテラン層の厚さを誇ります。 路線自体に大きな変化はあまりありませんが、京王バスでは唯一の自由乗降区間を実施しています。但し駒木野~小仏バス停を安全要件を満たせる範囲内で制限を設けています。本来自由乗降区間制度は利便性向上を目的としたものが多い中、当支所では通学児童生徒の防犯対策や徒歩移動距離区間が長いので、これを補う為に実施しています。通学児童の家やお年寄りの方の自宅前が仮設バス停になっている点がユニークです。 効率や利便性よりも利用者の身の安全(防犯対策)を第一に考慮した施策は全国のバス事業者でもまだまだ少なく、率直に評価出来る様に思います。 この制度が制式認可実現化に向けた提案や活動を精力的に行なっていたのはベテラン乗務員が多い寺田支所(当時の南大沢の乗務員)の尽力が大きいと思います。こうした沿線利用者からの評価の高さや好意的に見てくれる点では乗務員の励みを支えてくれています。 また京王バス南で発祥した『サンタバス』や京王バス公認情報誌『お出かけ情報板』も当支所所属乗務員が企画提案したものです。 当支所では路線の斬新さや発展性は地域柄期待は出来ませんが、企画力に富んだ乗務員が多いので、利便性の維持向上と今後の活動に注目・期待したいと思います。

山を切り崩して造られただけあって、ほかの営業所と全く雰囲気が異なりますね。駐車区画は番号で管理されているのでしょうか?見たところ、一般用の駐車場や入口は見受けられないし、営業所を見れそうなスポットもなさそうなので、秘境の車庫と言った雰囲気ですかね。
