★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ropeway (cable car) is a good alternative to visit Mt. Misen Observatory. Information available in many languages as well as ticket vending machines. The nuber of cars may decrease or increase during the day according to the demand. 6 people condolas trasport people to the second station. Then, larger cars move people to the last station (top). Restrooms and softdrink vending machines available at all stations. Shishiiwa station (top) is also equipped with air conditioning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a very efficient method of transport, cost 1000 Y one way. I advise you to go up using a gondola and walk down using your legs. I did it, it took me almost 2 hrs with many stops to take photos etc. but Im happy as I lost 1 kg of weight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Starting right after walking through Momijidani park, the cable car is a great option to reach the top in no time. This is a two stop climb-up: a change is necessary -the second part of the travel was way tougher as it will be packed. The staff will make sure that the cable car is full before starting the cable car.
One way is 1000 yens and 1800 for a round trip (adult price).
When getting there, you have the choice to keep on (reach the Mount -15min walk at high pace) or stay there for the view (observation deck).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice ride with the cable car. One part has a capacity of 4 seats, the other part has larger capacity, with around 30 people standing.
The views from the ropeway are spectacular and worth the money. Observation deck is nice and the top of the mountain can be easily reached from the ropeway station.
I would recommend walking up or down the mountain and only taking the ropeway one-way. The walking trail from the park to the mountain top is beautiful, it will take around 90 minutes walking according to the signs with information/warnings (distance is 2,5 kilometers). I walked up the mountain and took the ropeway down, it was a great experience.
