学生、生徒が多数のため通学時間帯には時間に余裕が必要です（泣）

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 静かな駅です。駅前にはロータリーがありタクシー利用できます。コンビニ二軒、近くにスーパーもあります。住環境が良さそうですが飲食店は少ないです。

この駅からバスで難波や京都に行けるので便利です。

エレベーターはちゃんとあるので車椅子やベビーカー、輪行の人も安心です。
駅前にローソンとファミマがあります。
西側の居酒屋の横の歩道には格安切符販売機もあるのでお得ですね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR学研都市線の駅で直接つながってはいないが近くに京阪河内森駅がある。最寄りには私市植物園がある。駅改札の反対側バスターミナルナルには磐船を模した巨石モニュメントが置かれている。近くには駅名の由来となった磐船神社もある。京橋から来た時に改札が反対ホーム側にしか無くバスターミナル側に行くには不便。くろんど池などもこの駅が最寄り駅になる。近くにハイキングがてら行ける場所が多い。吊り橋で有名な星のブランコにも歩いて行けない事もない。

At the bus terminal Naru on the opposite side of the station ticket gate, there is a megalithic monument that imitates an Iwafune.
