★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は経津主命。元は大宮神社であったが，時代の変遷を経る中で荒廃してしまった後の元禄年間，庄屋武田氏が香取神社を勧請したそうです。近年社殿を含め境内を大々的に整備されたのでしょうか，写真のとおりあっさりしすぎているほどにあっさりした境内であります。しかし，唯一余りあるほどの異彩を放っているのが，鳥居脇の御神木にして市指定有形文化財の「成田香取神社境内のシイ」です。長身にして凜々しく大きな樹冠は，必ず一見されるが宜しいでしょう。
 The deity of the festival is Keitsu. Originally it was Omiya Shrine, but it seems that Mr. Takeya Shoya solicited Katori Shrine during the Genroku years after it was devastated over the course of the times. I wonder if the precincts, including the main shrine, have been extensively renovated in recent years. However, the only thing that stands out is the shrine on the precinct of Narita Katori Shrine, which is a sacred tree at Torii Waki and designated by the city as a tangible cultural property. A tall and dignified and large tree crown is sure to be seen at first sight.
