★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は武甕槌命。大同元（806）年創建。土浦藩主の崇敬篤く、安永4年に社殿焼失も同年再建。明治6年村社列格し、坂・中台・男神・大和田・下大堤五箇村の総社となる。大正2年供進指定。
西方公民館の脇にバイクを駐め、参道を進むと・・・嗚呼。朱色の木造両部鳥居の先に朱に輝く拝殿を見て、余りの美しさに目を見張りました。聖地巡礼（ご当地アニメじゃありません）は数年続けていますが、時折このような神々しき光景を目の当たりに出来るから、聖地巡礼は止められないんです。
The deity is Takemikazuchi. Founded in 806. Due to the reverence of the Tsuchiura feudal lord, the shrine was destroyed by fire in the 4th year of Anei and rebuilt in the same year. In the 6th year of the Meiji era, it was ranked as a village company, and became the general company of Saka, Nakadai, Otoko, Owada, and Shimootsumi Gokamura. Designated as a donation in 1918.

When I saw the vermilion worship hall at the end of the vermilion wooden ryōbu torii, I was amazed at how beautiful it was.
