境内は非常に綺麗で遠方から参拝に来る方もいるほど、魅力的な神社で宮司さんも親切な方でした。
お正月になると道着姿で寒稽古をしている子供たちや初詣客など沢山の人で賑わっています♪
是非もう一度参拝したいです♪

鹿島様ですので、御祭神はタケミカヅチノカミ。要石もあります。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鹿島神社は、約2400坪の大変広い鹿島の森に鎮座しています。「天をつく鹿島神社の御神木」と句せられ、昔から人々に畏敬を受け、まさに町民氏子の「心のふるさと」となっています。
本殿は神明造り、拝殿は入母屋流造り、扇タルキに雲龍、唐獅子の彫刻、縁廻りは十二支の配置で、総欅造りの荘厳な社殿となっていて、御祭神は武甕槌神、倉稻魂神、誉田別尊、天照大神が合祀されています。
大昔は四日市場南元宿に鎮座していましたが、度々の水害を恐れて、今の地に遷座してから360年ほどです。
ここは史跡、豪族の古墳と伝えられていて、８ケ村の氏子がその上に土盛を加え築き上げて、社殿を移し建て祀ったと伝えられています。
右側には斎姫（俗におものめ様）が祀られていて、その悲しい縁結びのロマンが伝承されています。
また御山下西北端には、鹿島神社だけの由緒ある「要石」が祀られています。
往古は色麻郡（現在は加美郡）古社三社有りと言われていて、その三社である鹿島、伊達、宇伎須が、鳴瀬川を挟んで鎮座しているのは、本社である常陸の鹿島神宮が、利根川を挟んで鎮座しているのを模したといわれています。
