★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 続百名城のスタンプラリーの為に笠間城跡に立ち寄りました。城の一番近い駐車場は立ち入り禁止です。本丸までの道は整備はされてはいませんが、逆に観光者が増えて舗装されているより良かったです。
We stopped at Kasama Castle Ruins for the stamp rally of 100 famous castles. The nearest parking lot of the castle is off limits. The road to Honmaru has not been improved, but it was better than paved with more tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 笠間城の本丸跡は、今は広場になっていて何もありません。
少し山の尾根が残っていて、そこだけ山城の雰囲気を感じられます。
本丸跡までは舗装された道路が出来ていますが、どうやら車は進入禁止のようで、城の管理をするための道路となっているようです。なので一般客は駐車場へ停めてあるくことになります。それでも楽に来ることが出来ます。本来の階段を登ると、山城を感じられるでしょう。
本丸跡には休憩所が建てられており、また大きな紅葉の木が生えているので、秋口は最高なロケーションになりそうです。

There is a paved road up to the ruins of the main enclosure, but it seems that cars are not allowed to enter, and it seems that it is a road for managing the castle. Therefore, general customers will be parked in the parking lot. You can still come comfortably. If you climb the original stairs, you will feel the mountain castle.
A resting place has been built on the site of the main enclosure, and large autumnal trees are growing, so autumn is likely to be the best location.
