Kasumigaseki was the second home of Kasai Zenzo from 7 to 15 years old.
Kasai Zenzo is a novelist from Hirosaki. He moved to Tokyo to study literature and became an auditor of Toyo University and Waseda University. He met Shigeo Funaki and Kazuhiro Hirotsu, and was greeted as a member of the doujinshi magazine “Kiki”. In 1912, he announced his “Sad Father” in the first issue of “Kiki” and demonstrated his talent as a writer. He moved to Tokyo to study literature and became an auditor of Toyo University and Waseda University. He met Shigeo Funaki and Kazuhiro Hirotsu, and was greeted as a member of the doujinshi magazine “Kiki”. In 1912, he announced his “Sad Father” in the first issue of “Kiki” and demonstrated his talent as a writer. It is said that it is a typical example of a private novel that plays an active role in the Taisho to Showa period and portrays a difficult and miserable private life.
