★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 土曜日に立ち寄りましたが公園が綺麗に管理されてて良い。関宿城博物館で利根川水系の事を知ってから色々と散策しています。
We dropped in on Saturday, but park may be managed neatly. After learning about the Tone River water system at the Sekijuku Castle Museum, we have been strolling in various ways.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かつての葛西用水の取水口が公園になってます。
現在の葛西用水の取水口は見沼代用水と同じ利根大堰。
そこから取水する埼玉用水からこの親水公園の手前で分水して葛西用水となります。
葛西用水は一旦は古利根川に収斂され越谷市役所の近くで復活して葛飾区の四つ木で綾瀬川に注ぐ農業用水だった。
今でも羽生市内を抜けるとのどかな田園地帯を潤す様が見て取れます。
以前サイクリングでその跡を辿ろうとしたが晩秋の日没は早く、外環道まで来たところででギブアップし、一般道で帰宅しました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful feeling of calm and tranquility, along the River Tone you get mesmerized buy the sheer scope of it. Many place to sit and relax along side as well as some routes leading to the river its self.
