M	MC v A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great and welcoming place for delicious curry and Belgian beers! The friendly owner speaks English and is great company. It's on the second floor, just look for the sign on the street with the green monster (Kappa) enjoying a beer and a curry.

The owner is a VERY sweet man who made sure we wanted traditional Japanese curry before seating us. Free oolong tea, hot and cold coffee. English menu, and again the owner went through the menu with us to ensure we understood each item. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious and the homemade pudding was amazing! At the end the owner even walked is to an elevator!

Still walked to the 2nd floor where it was located and a few minutes later, the building restored power. The owner saw me and happily invited me inside. He was aware that I am a tourist and provided an English menu with each explanation of the choices. There is a self serve drink area (hot/cold coffee, water and oolong tea). Ordered the pork cutlet curry rice and can say the taste is very delicious. Atmosphere is relaxing and food is tasty. Would come back here in the future once I visit Kyoto again.

There is also a meatball potatoe dish that was amazing!!! You must try it. Owner/cook is very friendly! Owner explained the menu in English for us. There is regular draft beer and Belgian beers available. Food comes with free coffee and oolong tea. No reservations necessary which is great because the surrounding restaurants require them.

The Chicken is very tender and flavorful as well as the curry sauce. The rice is fluffy yet with the right tenderness. Coffee and tea are free so help yourself. Service is very good and quick for someone operating alone. Well deserving of a 5 star review!
