A highway fence guard is attached to the mansion of a wealthy farmer. It's worth seeing. The tour fee is 500 yen, but the person who explained it accompanied me and even served tea and wild plants. It is also a membership villa and can be used. There is also a nationally designated Important Cultural Property house in the immediate vicinity, which was seen free of charge.

The manager's older sister guided me and found out that it was used as a gate and a bansho in the Edo period. (Although there is a charge) I also put fire on the hearth and fired thatched roof, and I missed the warmth and smoke.

There was an exhibition of living tools that were actually used in the past, and there was also an Okuzashiki, which was quite impressive.

I visited there a few years ago. The receptionist's sister guided me not only to build a house, but also to teach me about the lives of people living in this area, which was a great learning experience. It's a highly recommended place, so I thought I'd go with my friends again once the corona wreck had subsided. It's very sad to close. However, as I heard at that time, it is difficult to maintain thatched roofs, there are no thatched roof craftsmen in the town, and they are called from other places to maintain them, and the craftsmen are also aging and young. However, considering that I am in my 60s and 70s, I think it's a selfish imagination, but I think it can't be helped. I'm really sad because it was a very educational place for history lovers.

The building is from the Edo period, but it is said that the mansion where Takakuramiya stayed long ago. The Nanjing small plate where the palace was used is left, but unfortunately it is closed. Mr. Hasebe was a famous family who served as the mayor of Tadami, and was a liver roast of Kanozu during the Edo period.

It is a wonderful place where you can visit old folk houses from the Edo period for free. The staff told me in detail about the history of this building. Since it was a holiday tour, there were some people coming and going, but I was able to take a leisurely tour.

A beautiful and quaint inn (and quite old too, about 250+ years actually) set in a picturesque setting straight from a fairy tale. The staff are very friendly, the food is superb, and the accommodations very comfortable. If they don't have room for the night you should at the very least request a tour.
