比	比叡の苔石 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 伝教大師最澄が開基という伝承を持つ古刹。「池原延暦寺」と言われていたという。奥の院にある巨大な岩壁に線刻された全長5メートルの不動明王の磨崖仏で有名。全山に奇岩巨石が点在し、古代からの磐座信仰と最澄がもたらした天台密教が融合して独特の山岳信仰の霊場となった。そしてここで修行した修験の行者が、甲賀や伊賀の忍者の源流になったという。実際、中世から戦国時代にかけてここで忍者たちが修行したのは確か。私も自分で歩いてみてここを毎日歩いて回れば相当な修行になるだろうな、と思った。参拝される方はお寺の本堂下に数台分の駐車スペースがあるから、そこまで車で登って来るべき。かなり狭い道でこわいけど、下にとめて登るのはきつい。そこからは歩いて目当てのお不動さんにお会いするのだが、花崗岩に線刻されているので相当風化が進んでいて識別は難しいかも。それより周囲にある四国八十八ヶ所の石仏が楽しい。風化が逆に味に転化していて、もう何番札所だかわからないくらいになっているけどその表情がまちまちでそれぞれの個性を楽しめる。そして仏様とお大師さまが必ずペアになっていて、その寄り添う姿が美しい。 An old temple with a tradition that Denkyo Daishi Saisumi is the basis of the foundation. L	LIDDICK on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 岩尾池の杉を見学したついでに伺いました。甲賀方面から岩尾池の杉を越えて道なりに進み暫くすると右手の斜面に息障寺までの山道と案内板が見えて来るのでそのまま車で上りました。道は山頂近くの息障寺までアスファルトになっていますが枯葉や苔が所々にあるので雨の時にはスリップしそう。道幅は山道なので余り広くありませんが軽自動車なら大丈夫かな。勾配は息障寺近くではかなりキツくなりますがそこ以外は大したことはなさそうに思いました。到着すると広いスペースがありますので駐車は余程混んでない限り大丈夫でしょう。息障寺の前には巨石と黒門があり迫力満点でした。昔の忍者の修行場と言われるのが分かります。その傍らの石の階段を上ると鐘楼があり更に奥に遥か彼方の山頂の方まで続く古の石段がありました。時間があれば是非とも上りたかったのですが天候が不安定で小雨が降ってきましたのて帰路の心配でやむ無く断念しました。また、良く見ると所々に磨崖仏があったりし神聖な感じもします。息障寺前の駐車スペースからの眺望はほぼ皆無でしたが奥の石段を上ったらもしかして良い景色が臨めるのかもしれませんので次回までの楽しみにしておきます。 While visiting the Sugi in Iwao Pond I heard.
