逢隈小山に鎮座する観音菩薩で、地域住民からは「お観音さま」の愛称で親しまれています。言い伝えによると、現在の場所より山の高い位置にあったが、風当たりなどのもんだいで現在の位置に遷座したようです。
手前の参道は石碑群があり、歴史の深さを感じとる事ができます。
普段はひっそりしており、のどかな雰囲気です。付近に駐車場は無いので自転車か徒歩で訪問するのがオススメです。最寄りの逢隈駅からは徒歩で一時間もがかかりませんのでハイキングにも良いかもしれません。

It is a Kannon Bodhisattva that is settled in Otsuka Koyama, and local residents are familiar with the nickname of "Kannonama". According to legend it was in a higher mountain position than the current place, but seems to have moved to the current position with an alarm like wind blow.
There is a stone monument group on the approach road in front, you can feel the depth of history.
It is quietly and normally a peaceful atmosphere. There is no parking lot in the vicinity so it is recommended to visit by bicycle or on foot. It may be good for hiking as it will not take an hour's walk from the nearest Akuma station.
