Kannabi Shrine - Kyotanabe

The shrine on the summit of Gannan Bizan (altitude 211m) is said to have been restored in 1977. The name of Jinnan Bijin Shrine is based on what is carved on the stone pillar next to Torii. The explanation board set up by Kyotanabe City is called Kanabi Shrine. Probably all are correct. You can see the mountain name plate set up by the climbers on the top of Gannan Bizan, where the flat ground at the back of the shrine is located. The second triangle is located at a peak at an altitude of 201m north from here, making it a good view. Unfortunately, there is no view at the top of this mountain, but there is an observatory at a place just a short walk from the torii to the northeast.

It is a god who sits down on the mountain. There is also a notation called Kannabi Shrine. It is in Gannan Biyama and it gets confused. Originally, the mountain itself is a divine body. The last approach to the shrine is on the last slope. There are handrails but not stairs. I will go along the asphalt paved road halfway but at the end it will be a little mountain road. I recommend shoes that are firm enough. There is a parking lot at the mountain entrance and access is possible by car. There is a place of width for one car until there. As there is not a lot of parking lot, we have to give up when we are full. Yamado has two toilets. Mountains can enjoy wild birds and cherry blossoms. As there is open space and observation deck, there are many people who can come by family. However, because it is a mountain, there is a risk of bees, snakes, cliffs, fallen trees, etc. if you enter one step. It is recommended that you bring your own style and water. Emergency vehicles will be located in the paved area even in an emergency, so there is a sign to indicate the location in an emergency, so be sure to check.

It is a lonely shrine that is not popular even if you climb to worship at noon on New Year's Day. I hear that the locals are crowded when I go early in the morning.

The paved road is gentle and takes a long time. The old road is a mountain road and has a strong slope, but the distance is short and fast, so we recommend the paved road when climbing and the old road when descending.

I felt that few people came for the purpose of worshiping. Looking at the stone Tamagaki (Mizugaki), you can feel the history very much. It seems that the trees have been cut down and it has been refreshed a little.

It is thought that many gods have been worshiped in this place since ancient times.

The character is different between Jinnan Bijin Shrine and Gannan Bizan, so it is almost the same place. On holidays, visitors are all over the place and busier than it looks. Isn't the lonely feeling tickling the heart of the historic site mania? It is prohibited to ride a bicycle, but you can climb if you push it. It is safe without a plan because you can go without time.
