A stop for regular trains only. Due to the special circumstances that the express and limited express transit lines cross the branch line and the station yard is curved, the speed limit will be applied. The original alignment was toward the current Arakawa River, but due to the excavation of the Arakawa drainage channel, the old line has become a river, so it has become the current alignment.

A station that seems to be a downtown in Sumida, Sumida-ku. The station building has an independent west exit and an east exit. The curve is drawn along the embankment of Arakawa, and it is packed with 4 lines + 2 platforms, which is quite cramped, so you have to be careful about the gap between the platform and the vehicle when getting on and off. Since the up branch is near Kitasenju (inside the station) where the curve is tight, there is no choice but to branch the railroad track on the passing side, and trains passing through this station such as express trains (although it is decelerating considerably) Standing passengers need to be careful. The position of the train that stops for the same reason is also a little far from the ticket gate, unlike the down platform. A long time ago, there was McDonald's right after the west exit.

The station itself hasn't changed a few years ago, but Kanegafuchi-dori, which runs beside this station to Yahiro Station in Keisei, used to be a lively street with restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets, but in recent years it has become a future. Looking ahead to the widening work, it became a very murderous landscape. I wonder if the bustle will return if the road widens.

Kanegafuchi Station is located in the middle of the triangular area on the north side of Oshiage in Sumida Ward. According to what I heard, the reason why this place is called Kanegafuchi is that the big bell that was washed away by the flood was caught in the edge of the Sumida River near here and stopped. The area is 0m above sea level, so if you go toward the Sumida River, there are uphill slopes and stairs. The atmosphere of the city is "feeling" at best, and "lonely" at worst. Personally, I think this downtown feeling is an "intangible cultural heritage". From the down line platform, you can see the Sky Tree over the cityscape and the station building, and with the appearance of Tobu trains with continuous curves in the vicinity, I feel that it is creating a pretty good landscape.

It is Kanegafuchi station in Sumida Ward. In 1620, the temple in Hashiba and Ishihama moved to Kameido Village. At that time, when I tried to cross the Sumida River with the bell of the temple on a boat, I accidentally dropped the bell into the water and could not pull it up. .. The origin of the station name was named after the place name.

Very nice and simple station. No cafe's, restaurants and other amenities you'd typically find in bigger station. Very easy road access to both sides of the stations via foot rode access, and is very close to 7/11 and Lawson.
