★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place run by a lovely couple. Super service and were really interested in where we were from. There is an English menu so you know what to order. Beer, sake and food on point. We ordered fried food and sashimi - no sushi on the menu. Will definitely come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite dining experiences ever. It was so welcoming and the food was fantastic. Although we knew only a few words of Japanese, the locals who shared this cozy little eatery with us were friendly and graciously chatting with us as I used google translate to find the words. It feels very much like you are having dinner in a family kitchen among friends. We also bought a little jar of pepper there (red sansho pepper) and it’s been one of my favorite spices ever since. Hard to find in the US. Will definitely go back when we can travel to Japan again.
