★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 茨城県道248号八溝山公園線から登るつもりでしたが，R2.12.16まで通行止。そのため，こちら「八溝山林道」を利用しました。林道入口には綺麗なトイレがあり，山頂に鎮座される八溝嶺神社の一の鳥居が。実は県道よりもこちらの方が気分が盛り上がるのではないでしょうか。山頂までは狭いクネクネ道（でも舗装されています）を約15分強，対向車が来ないことを祈りつつですが，楽しいドライブです。
 I intended to climb from Ibaraki Prefectural Road No. 248 Yamizoyama Koen Line, but it was closed until R2.12.16. Therefore, I used this "Yamizoyama Forest Road". There is a beautiful toilet at the entrance of the forest road, and there is a torii gate of Yamizomine Shrine that is enshrined on the mountaintop. Actually, I think this is more exciting than the prefectural road. It takes about 15 minutes on the narrow Kunekune road (but paved) to the summit, and I pray that oncoming vehicles will not come, but it is a fun drive.

ココに止めていくのが無難だと思ってます。それに修験道の修行地を味わった方がご利益あると思います。個人差に寄りますが一時間前後で「八溝五水入り口」に着きます。およそ１３００年前に開山、弘法大師自ら十一面観音像を刻み本尊としたとされています。車で登った時たまたまかもしれませんが道が狭く草がはみ出してるところが有ったりバイクが飛ばして真ん中走ってきたり平日は材木を切り出して大きな車に材木を載せてトラックが走っていてすれ違い出来ないところもありますので上まで車で行くのはこりごり。でも何度か登攀してますが事故は見たことないので気を付ければ大丈夫なのかもしれません。そんなに人気じゃない山ですが冬の晴れ渡った景色は最高です。筑波山や白く染まった那須連山が見渡せます。

鳥居をくぐって林道を10分程の駐車場が便利です。車で上って行けますが狭く急峻でガードレール無しで
注意が必要です。
紅葉がとても綺麗でした。

ここから先は舗装林道になるので、道幅は大変狭くなります。
車で登る方は対向車に注意して下さい。
秋は紅葉が綺麗です。
