Kami-Iida Station was a former independent departure and arrival station on the Meitetsu-Komaki Line, which was underground due to the start of mutual direct operation with the opening of the subway Kami-Iida Line on March 27, 2003. It opened on February 11, 1931 as the terminal station of the Komaki Line from the predecessor of Meitetsu [Meitetsu Railway], but 40 years later, the subway Meitetsu Line opened south of this station, so it used to be from this station. Since the railway is not open to the Meitetsu line and it is difficult to move from Komaki to Nagoya city, we decided to improve the [Kamiida connecting line] where Meitetsu and the subway can go, and the taste north of this station. The section between Ajima and Heian-dori has been opened underground, which makes it possible to move between Inuyama / Komaki and Heian-dori by one train without getting off the train !! By the way, regarding the operation of mutual direct operation, the operating company will change here because the Komaki line going north from this station is operated by Meitetsu, and the Kami-Iida line going south to Heian-dori is operated by the Transportation Bureau City of Nagoya. With the opening of the Kami-Iida connecting line, the conventional ground section between Ajima and Kami-Iida was abolished on March 26, the same year before the opening. In addition, the transportation capacity has been significantly improved by completely double-tracking between this station and Komaki. By the way, the time required from this station is 1-2 minutes to Heian-dori, 15 minutes to Komaki, and 30 minutes to Inuyama, all of which are regular trains. Currently, the vehicles used are the Meitetsu 300 series and the Nagoya Municipal Transportation Bureau 7000 series, but most of the vehicles are the Meitetsu 300 series.

It is far from the first entrance on the ground to the ticket gate. If you walk and buy a ticket, it will take about 2 minutes. I don't know in the morning, but there aren't many people around 7 pm, so I think it's okay to run. Also, when you enter the ticket gate, there is no toilet.

Once, this Meitetsu Komaki line was the last station. From here, in order to get to Sakae and Nagoya Station in the center of Nagoya, it was necessary to get on the city bus or walk to Heianusori station on the subway metro line, which is about 15 minutes on foot. As city buses take time to catch up with traffic, especially during the morning and evening rush due to road conditions, a lot of people were walking from Ueda to Heiyusu. And now, railway from Heiida to Heianusori is connected with the railroad, it got to be very convenient, arriving in less than 2 minutes. It is a flow of the times. I walked about twice when the railroad was not connected yet, but there are quite a few distances, I remember realizing that this is almost every time.

It was converted into an underground station at the same time as the mutual access to the subway. A big 4-car train is running. The Komaki Line was a line where the original station was also in a house and a hanging train was used. What is interesting is the fare information for Meitetsu, which provides information on the fare to Nagoya Station (via Inuyama).

It is a border station between the subway and Meitetsu. Line 1 is for Heian-dori and Line 2 is for Komaki / Inuyama, and the ticket gates are compatible with IC cards. The toilet is outside the ticket gate. The station is deep underground, but it has an elevator and an escalator so you can easily go up to the ground (it may be a little inconvenient because you can't go up to the ground unless you change trains once). There is also a city bus terminal in front of the station. If you are using the bus terminal, it is convenient to use Exit 2. Other coin parking is also near the station.
