桐山学園の最寄り駅であり日泰寺の門前町でもある。東山線は小刻みに延伸して1963年4月1日の開業である。
The Higashiyama Line runs under Kakuozan Dori from here.
It is the closest station to Kiriyama Gakuen and is also the gate town of Nittaiji Temple. The Higashiyama Line is extended in small steps and opened on April 1, 1963.

１番は日泰寺参詣者≒高齢者 利用が多いためかバリアフリーの配慮が行き届いている。エレベーターもある。子連れにもこちらをお勧めする。
２番以下は階段の段数が多く狭いので、健康な若者向け。雨の日は滑りやすいところがあるので注意。

No. 1 is a visitor to Nittaiji Temple ≒ A lot of elderly people use it, so barrier-free consideration is given. There is also an elevator. This is also recommended for families with children.
No. 2 and below have many stairs and are narrow, so it is suitable for healthy young people. Be careful as there are slippery areas on rainy days.

駅自体は古く綺麗とは言い難いですが、駅前はお洒落なお店が多く、散策を楽しめます。
覚王山周辺でカフェやランチといったワードで検索をかけますと何件もお店が出てくると思います。カフェの後は日泰寺へお参りに行くのが王道の楽しみ方でしょう❤️

The station itself is old and hard to say beautiful, but there are many fashionable shops in front of the station and you can enjoy a walk.
