f	fragrance autumn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小ぶりですが前方後円墳です。田畑の中にあり、周囲に視界を遮るものが何もないので、電車の中からでもその全容を確認する事ができます。宮城県の指定史跡ですが、発掘調査等は行われていないため、いつ頃に築造されたのか等は不明だそうです。墳丘の形態や周囲の他の古墳の状況等から、5世紀前後に築造されたものと推定されています。私が訪れた時は、下草を刈り終えたばかりのようで、特徴ある前方後円墳のシルエットをはっきりと確認する事ができました。岩沼駅から徒歩で１５分前後です。家並みが途切れると、遠方に目視できるのですが、そこから到達するまでに結構時間が掛かります。 Although it is small, it is a round back. M	Moli Lizhi (茉莉茘枝) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 広い田んぼの中にあり遠くから見ている人には小さな古墳に見えますが、近くで見ると意外に大きな古墳なのですよ。もちろん雷神山古墳や遠見塚古墳とは比較できないけれどね。震災前はかめ塚古墳の周囲はごみだらけでした。それほど見向きもされない古墳でした。今はとてもきれいになっています。この古墳は周囲が水田のために長年の間に少しづつ削られてしまったようです。前方後円墳の「前の四角部分」と「後方の円」をつなぐ部分が極端に細くなってしまっています。この古墳はある古墳と大きさや形がとてもにているので、「何か関連があるのではないか」と話題になったことがありました。ちょとロマンがありましたがそんな説もなくなってしまいました。実際にどうだっか知る人は古墳の中に眠っています。このまま静かな時間を過ごさせてあげたいですね。 It looks like a small burial mound in a large rice field and people who look at it from a distance, but it is an unexpectedly large burial mound when viewed close up.
