ここと入間大橋の繋ぎ目で別の道路と交差するため、朝と夕方は渋滞が発生しやすい。
 It spans the boundary between Kawagoe City and Ageo City.
Congestion is likely to occur in the morning and evening because it intersects with another road at the joint between here and Irumao Bridge.

２０１９年１０月台風１９号の大雨により水位がかなり上昇した荒川です。
The blue bridge is Kaihei Bridge.
It is Arakawa where water level rose considerably by heavy rain of Typhoon No.19 in October, 2019.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 愛犬の散歩コースと自身の夕暮れの絶景(秩父連峰と富士山)を楽しみに歩いてます。橋は片道1.5kmで往復すると愛犬には辛いですが、たまに行きます。
I am looking forward to the walking course of my dog and the spectacular view of my own dusk (Chichibu mountain range and Mt. Fuji). It's hard for my dog to go back and forth on the bridge for 1.5km one way, but I go there once in a while.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 上尾・川越を繋ぐ交通の要所で対面通行の2車線で、天気が良いときには川越方面に富士山を展望できる。
途中に川島方面との信号機もあり、朝夕は混雑する。
両サイドに歩道があるのはNiceだが徒歩時に自転車とすれ違うがやっと狭さ。
It is a key point of transportation connecting Ageo and Kawagoe, and has two lanes for two-way traffic. When the weather is nice, you can see Mt. Fuji in the direction of Kawagoe.
There is also a traffic light to Kawashima on the way, and it gets crowded in the morning and evening.
It's nice to have sidewalks on both sides, but when you walk, you pass by a bicycle, but it's finally narrow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 片側１車線の県道51号が荒川を渡り入間大橋と接続する。古くは平方の渡しがあったが、明治になって船橋（舟を10艘並べその上に板を）が架けられ、それが水運の妨げにならないように開閉することができたので、多分開く平方の橋で開平橋か？
昭和初期まではここから600m上流の三ツ又沼で入間川と合流していたため、ここの橋のみで川越側に渡ることができた。
入間川との間の堤（背割堤、県道339号が通る）が国道254号の川越付近の抜け道となっており、取付けの入間大橋交差点は渋滞の起点となる。また、オフロードビレッジ（モトクロスのコース）の出入り口もこの交差点であることから、レースがあるときは通過に相当の時間を要することもある。
ちなみに、令和元年台風19号では上尾側の開平橋交差点のすぐ下まで増水した（北西側の民家の擁壁に印がある）。
Prefectural road 51 with one lane on each side crosses the Arakawa River and connects to Irumao Bridge. In the old days, there was a square pass, but in the Meiji era, a bridge (10 boats lined up and a board on it) was erected, and it could be opened and closed so as not to interfere with water transportation, so it will probably open. Is it Kaihei Bridge with a square bridge?
Until the early Showa period, it merged with the Iruma River at Mitsumatanuma, 600m upstream from here, so it was possible to cross the Kawagoe side only with this bridge.
The embankment between the Iruma River (back split embankment, prefectural road 339 passes) is a loophole near Kawagoe on National Route 254, and the attached Iruma Ohashi intersection is the starting point of traffic congestion. Also, since the entrance and exit of the off-road village (motocross course) is also at this intersection, it may take a considerable amount of time to pass when there is a race.
By the way, in Typhoon No. 19 in the first year of Reiwa, the water level increased to just below the Kaiheibashi intersection on the Ageo side (there is a mark on the retaining wall of a private house on the northwest side).
