Head to the 5th Floor and look for Studio Alice Kabuki Photo Studio. During my May 2017 visit, it cost 3,900 yen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The kabukiza gallery is on the 5th floor. Fee Y600 without audio. Nice impression of the kabuki art and how to. Entry is easiest from subway level and follow the signs to the elevator. Spent around 45mins to an hour here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first experience of Kabuki! Bought a ticket for a single act play, which lasted for one hour. Very well-organised ticketing and seating process. Good view, even from the seats high up and furthest back. Much bigger cast than I expected, about 30 cast plus a few musicians, and thus a good spectacle once the story got going.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely old building, great seating with no restricted views or people heads in front. Sets and acting top. Let down by no rolling translation (even Japanese can get an audio device). The excuse of COVID is stupid and irrelevant. As scenes can be quite long, not knowing what is being said makes it boring - a shame
