After that, in the 4th year of Bunroku (1595), Samukawa Ukon Mitsushige revived. When the main shrine, which used to face south, was rebuilt to face east, a bad illness spread in the town and the children did not prosper. In particular, Kazumasa Ikoma's younger brother Hayato, who worshiped the shrine, rebuilt it facing south in the first year of Kanei (1624) with the Takagi Penal Department as a magistrate. After that, it was renovated many times, and the current shrine was rebuilt in 1839. Saikou-ji was abandoned due to the separation of Shinto and Buddhism in the second year of the Meiji era. At the same time, Amida Nyorai, who was the home Buddha, is copied to Saiho-ji Temple. The name was changed to Kabe Shrine in the 3rd year of the Meiji era, and it was listed in the township in the following 4 years. This is the first time I visited the shrine, but the approach started from the east side and changed direction to the north side at a right angle in front of the Zuijinmon gate, forming a south-facing shrine.
