鵜匠の方がわかりやすく説明してくださいました。
鵜籠がとても風流で感動しました。捕獲した鵜はオリにいれるんじゃなくて、とってもエコな植物で編んだ籠に入れて全国に運ばれるそうです。
海鵜の瞳はエメラルドブルーで素敵でした。

風光明媚で気持ち良いところです。

ただ、小さな綺麗な海岸に降りられなかったのが残念だったので、普通にしました。立入禁止になっていたのは偶々でしょうか?
また、津波の到達看板を見て自然の恐ろしさを感じました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 向こうの崖で鵜を捕獲してるんだな…と思いながら眺めてました。
鵜は4〜6月と10〜12月に飛来するようで、捕獲に影響のない1〜3月と7〜9月で捕獲場の一般公開がされてますが、コロナの影響で公開中止になってました。
国民宿舎を取り囲むように幾つかの散策路が用意されていて、その殆どが林の中で森林浴を楽しみながら歩けます。この鵜の岬海岸付近のみ海を見ることができました。
森林浴コースはアップダウンもあるので、大回りすると結構いい運動になると思います。だからなのか、犬の散歩をしている人がとても多かった！
特に国民宿舎脇のスイレン池公園は犬を連れてる人が殆どでした。
