無人駅です。
武豊線は、明治時代に開業した歴史ある路線で、元は現在の東海道本線の建設に使う資材運搬用に開業しました。
武豊駅周辺は、少し離れてますが醤油などを造る蔵持ちの会社があり、現在でも現役で営業しています。
武豊駅から西へ行くと、名鉄河和線知多武豊駅がありますが、徒歩だとそこそこ距離があり、乗り換えにはあまり便利じゃありません。
かつては、武豊港駅があって、そこまで線路が延びていて、主に貨物輸送を行ってましたが、現在は廃止されて線路は撤去されてしまいました。
この武豊駅から徒歩10分くらいの場所に、まちの蔵武豊とゆう道の駅があります。
その敷地内に、貨物輸送時代に使われてた機関車の転車台が保存されています。

If you go west from Taketoyo Station, you will find Chitataketoyo Station on the Meitetsu Kowa Line, but it is not very convenient to change trains because it is a reasonable distance on foot.
In the past, there was Taketoyo Minato Station, and the railroad track extended to that point, which mainly used to transport freight, but now it has been abolished and the railroad track has been removed.
About a 10-minute walk from this Taketoyo station, there is the town of Taketoyo and Yumichi station.
The turntable of the locomotive used during the freight transport era is preserved on the site.
