幕	幕府陸軍 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 請西藩最後の藩主、林忠崇公。林忠崇公の、陣屋出陣直前の肖像写真。残念ながら請西藩陣屋は、藩士による自焼行為(忠崇公自ら指示)により焼失した為、この地には何も無いが、請西藩に関する記録文書や当写真は後世に残された。肖像写真は、出陣前の当地で撮影されたとされるが、木更津に当時新技術である写真術を取り扱う写真技術師が滞在していたのかは甚だ疑問である。以前、木更津市郷土博物館に公の特別展示を観覧した際、写真は「函嶺の陣にて撮影」と書かれていた記憶があり、箱根ならば温泉地の土地柄で外国人写真技術師らが滞在していても不思議ではない為、私はこちらの説を支持するものである。忠崇公ら遊撃隊一同は、箱根の関所を占拠した時期もあり、根拠のない想像だが、おそらくこの写真は、箱根関所の一室ではないだろうか。また写真は一見、羽織袴姿のいかにも江戸時代の旧式兵制であるように思われるが、胸元部分を見ると、羅紗のベストと釦らしきものが写っている。見えない下着には白シャツを着こんでいたのではなかろうか。これは、公自らフランス式軍制を意識していた事が伺える。 Tadataka Hayashi, the last feudal lord of the Shosai domain.
