★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鎌倉殿の影響でしょうね、十数人の一行がガイド付きで境内を見学、山門迄の石段はかなり趣きがあり、参道から仁王門左右に金剛力士阿形、吽形を置き、巨大古木ビャクシンが偉容な迫力でお出迎え、七騎堂、鐘楼堂、そして本堂と続き、左手奥に土肥一族が祀られている。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 湯河原駅裏の坂道を登るとパワーの御神木があります。その後ろに縁結びの木も在りました。お寺さんからは海も見えました。
一番は境内横に在る公衆トイレの綺麗さです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大河ドラマ 鎌倉殿の13人に触発されてのハイキング途中に立ち寄りました。土肥一族の菩提寺で海が一望できる気持ち良い墓所。夫はこんなお墓に入りたいと呟いていました。樹齢900年のビャクシンの巨樹や石橋山の戦いに敗れた頼朝主従が立ち寄った七騎堂、伊能忠敬が測量の折立ち寄った‥など歴史好きには面白く、長居してしまいます。3月初旬ここから城山へ向かう途中、ミカン直売数軒ありました。運が良ければ出会えます。駅前の半値以下でした。

平家討伐までは、鎌倉幕府の重鎮でしたが、晩年は、その動向は歴史から消え、謎な人物。
義経と深く関わり過ぎたのかな？
その子孫は、中国地方に覇を唱えた毛利氏を支えた小早川氏だそうですね。
その他の見どころは、国の天然記念物のビャクシンがあります。
湯河原町を代表するパワースポットでもあるそうです。
とても、静かで、素朴なお寺さんでした。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 湯河原駅からほど近い山の斜面に建つ、素朴な感じのするお寺です。土肥実平を始めとする一族の墓所があることでも知られていますね。とても大切にされているようで、中世に建てられた石塔が数多く立ち並ぶさまは壮観です。境内墓所からは海も見え、晴天だったのでとても清々しい気分になりました。
It is a rustic temple built on the slope of a mountain near Yugawara station. It is also known that there are clan graveyards such as Sanehira Dohi. It seems to be very important, and it is spectacular to see many stone towers built in the Middle Ages. I could see the sea from the graveyard in the precincts and it was sunny, so I felt very refreshed.
